Baa atoll is one of the most well-known atolls in the Maldives known amongst travelers, mostly for its vast beautiful beaches that every island in the atoll is gifted with by mother nature. The whole Baa atoll is home to various amazing marine creatures, their crystal-clear waters are quite tempting to jump into at every chance you get.
One of the famous islands in the Baa atoll, Dharavandhoo is located around 110 km north of the capital city of Maldives, Male’. The island has their own domestic airport that occupies half of the island whereas on the other half locals live. It has gorgeous white sandy beaches and there is one private beach area where you can spend some quality time with your friends or by yourself, Dharavandhoo is the largest island amongst the chain of islands in Baa atoll.
It must be a delight for most of the travelers traveling for leisure to the Maldives to come across Hanifaru Bay, which is a 05-minute boat ride away from Dharavandhoo at its east side. Hanifaru Bay is sanctuary to a vast population of Manta Rays and Whale Sharks, the location is also a key area of UNESCO’s biosphere reserve.
